About Our Name
The name GoodSoil comes from the verse in Mark 4:8 “where some seed fell on good soil”. In that parable good soil represents hearts ready God’s Word to transform them. We at GoodSoil Ministries, inc aspire to both be good soil, and to plant God’s Word in it all around in the world.
The twelve branches on our logo tree represent the Kingdom of God which grows to become the dominant plant in the garden (force in the world). The green in our logo reminds us that it is God who sustains and gives life. The tree is planted in a blue earth. Revelation describes the throne of God as seated above a sea of glass. Transparent. Void of duplicity. Total honesty. These are our values as well.
A game we use at Mission Camp has one rule, “Keep the ball rolling”. The rule has become a call to continue to move ahead with God’s mission.
Marvin is a green marble—we think he is marvelous. Marvin began as part of a Mission Camp game, but has become a symbol of God’s mission given to each of us.
