Jesus: The Original Missional Life
Jesus is The Lord. He is The Saviour. He is The Christ. But how often has he been "Jesus: The Cook" or "Jesus: The Storyteller"? How about "The Bar Tender?" Oh yea. He poured drinks for all the boys. or "The Tax Payer" (Hint: fish, coins, Peter)? Our traditional renditions of Jesus have been true to a fault. The fault being that in an effort to elevate Jesus, we've kept Him in the clouds. He's no longer down-to-earth, yet, that's what was Jesus' central mission....to bring the lofty and true, down to the earth. Can we say, "Uh-oh. Our bad." Missional Living is a term/concept growing in popularity. I love it. GoodSoil is currently engaging in a project to take missional living to the front-lines of Western Christianity.
